Drain Doctor did a really stellar job on a complicated neighbourhood private drainage system shared by 20 properties. They cleared out some pretty gnarly sumps and installed new storm drain pipes in a steep river gully. They did beautiful work, far exceeding my expectations. I interviewed three companies and Jonathan, the estimator from Drain Doctor, understood the situation best, had great ideas, and their bid was also the best, but I would’ve chosen them anyways. Steve and his partner started the project, then switched to Paul and his partner, and François and his partner did the sumps. They were all very personable and as the inevitable unforeseen problems arose, they were very upfront on what additional costs were going to be and sought my approval at each stage. My only problem I had wasn’t enough to lower my 5 star rating. I had some frustrating problems getting email from Drain Doctor throughout the project. I set up a new email account just for Drain Doctor, but they weren’t able to update my address in their system. Each time they sent an email, they’d have to manually change it to my new address or it’d fail to get to me. I’m mentioning this only for future clients that use small email providers could run into this same problem. I got pretty grumpy about it, but they handled it with professionalism. Amazing service, after discovering a collapsed drain, with their cameras, they were able to dig it up 2 metres down and replace and reconnect the fittings on one Friday afternoon, saving me the expense of having to put my tenants up in a motel for 3 nights.
